As always… just because something is common does As always… just because something is common does NOT mean it is normal. 
Unfortunately most Women struggle with one of these issues listed and get completely blown off by their physicians because they simply do not always have the answers.
It should be normalized to address toxic burden, nutrition, mindset, lifestyle choices, stress management, addressing stored emotions & trauma that is impacting the body, endocrine disrupters, basic free medicine such as sunshine, grounding, sleep etc. 
Where do I suggest most of my clients to begin?

Along with functional blood chemistry which can show patterns and red flags 🚩 that may indicate where the body is struggling and needs support.

Considering water makes up 55-60% of our body mass Considering water makes up 55-60% of our body mass, it’s a pretty critical component to our overall health 💦 

This is the first issue I see clients struggle with and continue to struggle with. It’s easy to forget to drink enough water or become bored with the taste of it. Having a clean source of water is first and foremost important - depending where it’s sourced from it can be filled with lead, arsenic, PFAS (forever chemicals) chloroform, fluoride and so much more! 
So of course if we are ingesting these nasty chemicals in our water it’s only further dehydrating us along with adding a slew of more health issues. 

Other tips:
- add a pinch of high quality salt to your water to help with absorption and electrolytes 
- don’t chug water all at once, instead sip throughout the day 
- begin aiming at 60-80 oz of water daily during detox it’s better to aim for 75% of body weight in water to help flush toxins 
- add electrolytes and minerals to support hydration and mineral status 
- make sure to add in water when drinking caffeinated beverages since these further dehydrate

Thankfully, the Environmental Working Group creates a yearly shopping guide to help consumers know where to invest their money when it comes to food in grocery stores!

Of course, the best case scenario is to shop through local farmers but depending on location this may be hard to get all of your needs when it comes to grocery items.

Learning the basics of Macronutrients has helped myself and my clients learn how to truly eat to NOURISH their bodies. 

We need nutrients to function optimally - not calories specifically. Food should be viewed as a form of medicine not a stressor! 

My tips as an NTP:
- variety is key, aim for 5 different colors on your plate 
- shop local through your farmers
- shop seasonal based on where you live
- source quality; organic, grass fed, pasture raised, humanely raised etc 

Every person is going to be different on their needs when it comes to nutrition. Stop guessing and comparing yourself to others! Instead work 1:1 with a practitioner who can support you on this journey of nourishment and feeling your absolute best!

Trauma and grief are what led me to chronic illness - it was the straw that broke the camels back. All it took was event to flip my world upside down.

😴 There are many factors that contribute to having poor sleep quality, insomnia, inability to fall/stay asleep etc. 

As always, there’s always a root cause (or many) at play that need to be addressed. This can be simple lifestyle changes to really digging deep. 

Sleep is critical for our health including detoxification and recovery. If we are not sleeping it’s only creating further stress in our body (as if we don’t have enough already)

To have a partner who is there for you no matter what - through sickness and in health is truly the ultimate blessing. We have been through some major lows and major highs, always becoming stronger and closer out of it.

A subject not many couples are comfortable talking A subject not many couples are comfortable talking about but needs to have more awareness..
After getting married in 2018, my Husband and I tried for two years to get pregnant with zero luck. Our options were IUI and IVF, which for me didn’t sit right personally. I knew I was also dealing with a ton of symptoms that were making my quality of life less than idea for not even being 30 years old… including hormonal imbalances.
I’ve always had a more “natural” mindset when it comes to health and wellness but after trying to DIY things myself with random diets, hormone balancing herbs and so on - I realized it was time to ask for help! 
This is when I found a Root Cause practitioner - her mindset was completely new to me on figuring out the underlying reasons for our signs and symptoms vs bandaiding them. It all made sense to me but also seemed a little “woo-woo” at the time. I was desperate to feel better after getting zero answers or guidance from multiple different doctors.
This is what led me to becoming a root cause practitioner myself!
Focusing on nutrient dense REAL foods, finding out what deficiencies I needed to support along with the big kicker •minimizing my TOXIC bucket• yep, detox… but not in the sense of juicing, fasting or crazy diets. 
This was addressing chemicals, mold toxicity, hidden infections such as Lyme, parasites, bacteria, viruses, fungus, drainage that were impacting my body to do its basic functions! These toxins created inflammation in my body along with blockages in my liver and gallbladder which are ESSENTIAL for hormone health & fertility! 
Both my husband and I have made complete changes in our lives to become healthy from leaving our stressful jobs traveling, selling our house and moving outside the city, detoxing following the root cause roadmap and implementing real foods! 
I have SO much hope for our bodies to heal and in the future we will absolutely become pregnant (when we are ready!)❤️
This has also led me to the path of becoming a certified NTP & IHP to support other Women & couples on their journey to healing from infertility!

This should be common knowledge for Women as we do NOT run on a 24 hr cycle like Men - yet society is built around that. 
Women are consistently trying to “hustle” like Men, even though we are not built like them. Instead of being frustrated with our cycle, learning how to take advantage of where we’re at can set us up for more success and support you’re body with what it needs.

As I’ve been on this journey of holistic preconc As I’ve been on this journey of holistic preconception planning myself I knew this was an important topic I wanted to cover to give more clarity as to why addressing root causes is so important before pregnancy. 
As always, this is for educational purposes only and not meant to shame those who did not walk this path or plan to. To each their own. 
There is a delicate balance when it comes to our bodies and unfortunately as I’ve shared many times we are constantly inundated with toxins along with becoming more susceptible to toxins & pathogens by being at a low vibration when it comes to our mental, emotional and spiritual health. 
We have lost touch with so many of the basics of health including something as simple as healthy digestion practices to make sure we’re in a parasympathetic state when we are eating our food! This helps our body release digestive enzymes and keep stomach acid at a healthy level to be the first line of defense when it comes to things such as parasites. 
Instead, most of us are multitasking and rushing while eating something either processed or take out, not setting us up for the best digestion. 

And no… you do not need to travel to a third world country to get parasites (please refer to other posts on my page!)

Of course this is not a blanket statement when it comes to anemia and this can look different for each and every person - this is just one piece! 
But I think it’s an important one to “check off” with your practitioner before conception considering the rate of infertility and how crucial iron levels are during pregnancy.

My husband and I spent two years struggling with infertility - meanwhile I had all the signs and symptoms that carrying a baby was the LAST thing my body was going to be able to handle. 
After years of stress, skipping meals, lots of alcohol in college, toxic makeup and beauty products, living in moldy rentals, bath and body works candles, plastic bottles.. the list goes ON my body was accumulating all sorts of toxins from exposures. 
Not to mention my drainage pathways were not open- meaning my bodies natural process to detox was blocked! This showed up as constipation, acne, itchy skin, bloating, anxiety and depression, you name it. 

“Cleaning up the dust” before having a baby should be a norm- but it’s not. Along with learning how to properly nourish the body with foods, minerals, vitamins, sleep, exercise, herbs!

PSA: time to reframe your mindset when it comes to PSA: time to reframe your mindset when it comes to HEALTH (especially for Women!)

I often see clients focusing on goals of "weight loss" or having their body composition be a certain way. As much as I totally understand that as someone who's also struggled with their weight, it's SO much deeper!

It has been normalized to focus on the number on the scale or clothing size as a measure of "health and happiness"- instead of how we FEEL internally along with signs + symptoms when most Women are struggling with a laundry list of symptoms

We really need to take a step back when it comes to weight loss and figure out the reasons weight loss is our main goal of health.

Will it bring us happiness? Will it fix all of our problems? Will people treat us differently? Will we become more successful?

As much as body composition does matter when it comes to health we shouldn't solely focus on what the scale says when it comes to our health. This goes both ways - being under and overweight. Dig DEEPER with your health!

Every once in a while we need to check in with our Every once in a while we need to check in with ourselves especially when we’re struggling to write down a list of what we’re doing to help ourselves (acknowledging our efforts) and what we are also doing that’s maybe hurting ourselves (where we can do better and grow)
 
Sometimes it’s hard to be real with ourselves and also not take it to an extreme level of punishing ourselves especially when it comes to health choices. 

So many of us think if we make ONE mistake that completely sets us back in our goals and progress when that’s not the case at all!

Growth happens learning from our mistakes and choosing to do better along with making those steps to improve our health!
