If we try to jump into addressing root causes & detox without looking at the food we are consuming, our bodies will not have the same results of healing if we are feeding it processed foods with lack of nutrients.

Food truly is medicine and knowing where to begin with shopping for better options can be truly overwhelming. Depending on location (such as food deserts) this can make it even harder! 

To simplify it, shop local as much as you can, support local farmers and the nutritional value these foods provide vs mass produced food is a huge difference.

🌱we live in a stressful, depleted and toxic wor 🌱we live in a stressful, depleted and toxic world and even though that sounds super scary we absolutely have control when it comes to how we support our overall health along with doing our best to support our children’s health. 
The rate of infertility continues to climb as many couples feel completely helpless and angry with their bodies for not doing the basic functions it was actually made to do (besides survive). Not to mention the rate of childhood disease which can be due to the toxicity passed down or lack of nutrients for the body to function optimally. 
I see Women going into pregnancy feeling completely depleted, inflamed and under nourished thinking taking a prenatal is enough when the best source of nutrients is always from food. 
Not to mention the amount of toxicity that has accumulated in their body, impacting their ability to absorb nutrients and creates a laundry list of symptoms they are dealing with. By the end of pregnancy, their deficiencies and toxicity knocks them on their butt.
As always (because I know this can be triggering) my point is to never shame or fear monger but instead empower. 
Take that time 6 months to 1 year MINIMUM to prepare your body for pregnancy. The outcome can be tremendously different if we remove the stressors that are impacting our health and learn how to truly give our body what it needs to function optimally!

Nutrient dense foods are the building blocks when it comes to our health along with a healthy baby and during pregnancy it truly is a critical time to hone in on what we’re putting in our bodies. 

There has a been a big disconnect between Women and their bodies for many years, depending on the systems to educate us on what we need to do. Unfortunately nutrition is missed area for many Women going into pregnancy and it can feel extremely overwhelming on what is right vs what’s not.

There are many misconceptions when it comes to mold:
* it has to be visible for it to be there
* bleach will fix it 
* you can only be allergic to mold
* It won’t cause major health issues 
* It’s only in old homes
* Mold from past living situations can’t still be affecting me

Just to name a few.. these are all false!

It is estimated over 50% of buildings in the US have water damage and it takes only 24-48 hours for mold to grow from these circumstances. Yikes!

Mold has been an issue for me most of my life without me knowing it was contributing to me consistently getting sick as a kid, having ear infections, inability to easily fight off colds and eventually impacted me as a teenager with my mental health and onto adulthood showing up with hormonal issues, cystic acne and infertility. 

It’s continued to make its rounds in my body as I’ve moved from moldy place to mold place.

There is absolutely hope when it comes to healing from mold toxicity! It takes time, the right tools and resources, knowledgeable practitioners and mold experts but it is possible. 

Building resiliency is really key vs just focusing on mold/mycotoxins alone.

My first tattoo. I got this tattoo when I was arou My first tattoo. I got this tattoo when I was around 19 years old. I had been through my bouts of major depression, suicidal attempts all starting at a young age. 
I could barely afford gas in my car, my rent or even groceries but of course this tattoo was a priority for me at this age.
I got it as a reminder of the hardships I had been through with my mental health, past traumas and abuses. 

I wanted to document on my body that I was in control and after everything I’ve been through i could look down on my wrist and be reminded I could get through ANYTHING. 

After so many accumulations of trauma that hit me hard on 2020, looking down at my wrist hasn’t had the same effect or even given me the same strength it has in the past. After losing a very close friend to suicide, I hit my breaking point of all hope and was dealing with suicidal thoughts myself, which through the Grace of God I was able to get through. Following, I was dealing with major disassociation of myself for the next 2-3 years and being stuck in fight or flight. 

Around a year ago I was finally coming out of the place of deep darkness I had been in for quiet some time. This reminder on my wrist is beginning to serve its purpose again.

I am strong. I am healed. I am loved. I have purpose. I have a future. I am forgiven. I am a child of God. 🙏🏻❤️

If you are in your darkest times, there is hope. Please don’t give up.

To think parasites are not important to address when it comes to dealing with chronic health issues is wildly inaccurate and really missing a key piece that should always be addressed (of course with proper prep work)

As I’ve shared in previous posts, parasites can be a big piece when it comes to our health issues and here I’ve listed a few big reasons why. ⬆️ 

The fact alone of a parasitic infection causing the body to lean into a TH2 dominance is important, as many people dealing with a TH2 dominance deal with a ton of health issues that come back to a dysregulated immune system. It’s important to always address WHY the immune system is reacting this way vs throwing random supplements at the body.

Aware this may ruffle feathers but that’s what I Aware this may ruffle feathers but that’s what I’m here to do only so we can grow and do better - along with feeling empowered when it comes to our health + our families health.
Always prefacing this isn’t to shame those who have not had this approach but to instead change the trajectory to set parents up to feel prepared for pregnancy in so many ways: nutritionally, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically and having as many tools and resources + community as they can. Not only for Mom (and Dad as well!) 
It is never too late to learn how to support the body as a whole and make better choices.

As you may have already learned, toxins can be passed on to our children in utero. This isn’t to fear monger but to instead share there are approaches to minimizing our toxic bucket (both Mom and Dad) before conception. 
As the rate of childhood disease continues to climb along with the rate of infertility there are always multiple root causes as to why.
 
This being a journey I’ve been on myself (and my husband) it’s been empowering and life changing to know what may be impacting our fertility and what we can do to set ourselves up for success when it comes to becoming pregnant, along with having a healthy pregnancy and birth for the future.

Knowing how to support our bodies with nutrient dense foods, minerals, basic lifestyle changes, minimizing stress and detoxing our bodies from accumulated toxicity is not only setting us up for when we do try to conceive but also our own health and wellbeing.

Although many unpleasant symptoms can come with a Full Moon and parasitic activity - it is a great time to document these issues you are dealing with to know if parasites may be an issue for you or your kiddo's!

When talking about parasites, so many people cringe and are in disbelief they can have them - sorry to burst your bubble but we ALL do to some extent. Depending on how our immune system is, this can also impact our body's ability to fight them off.

We have learned to normalize silencing our bodies when it tries to communicate something deeper is going on in the body instead of silencing the noise around us and tuning in. 
The body is never wrong, it’s always fighting to keep us alive even when it may feel like it’s working against us. We need to reframe our minds when it comes to signs and symptoms that our body is intelligent enough to communicate it needs our help!
Instead of getting mad, we should thank our bodies and appreciate how incredible they are at keeping us alive and safe.

It's hard to know how heartbreaking and isolating this feeling can be until you walk it.

The gallbladder is an area most people need suppor The gallbladder is an area most people need support with when it comes to their overall health and well-being.

Don't underestimate how important the gallbladder is - when it is removed from the body it does not FIX what led to having gallbladder issues in the first place.

In my own healing journey, this has been a weak point for me and with a lot of work, lifestyle changes and support I've been able to "save" my gallbladder. 

The gallbladder is essential to digestion - releasing bile into the small intestine to help emulsify fats, fat-soluble vitamins, other nutrients and also helps move waste products out of the body. 

Many clients I've worked with who have had their gallbladder removed still have digestion issues and were never told to supplement for the rest of their lives with bile salts to help support digestion.

Weight loss resistance is multifaceted and is not as simple as “lower your calories, workout more.” 

Most women are actually undernourished, over stressed and pushing their bodies is only going to stress the body out further. 😖

The top issues I see with clients dealing with weight loss resistance:
✨blood sugar dysregulation : this is probably the TOP issue I see with clients is supporting blood sugar and knowing that toxins and additional stressors can also impact blood sugar. There are many simple lifestyle changes that can support blood sugar balance!
✨toxins and pathogens in the body: over time, we accumulate all that we are exposed to especially when the body is in a state of imbalance which leads us to be even more susceptible to these lower frequency toxins 
✨emotions and trauma: this is been a struggle for myself personally, often times we can hold on to weight as a protective mechanism, even if we’re not aware of it! It takes time to get the body in a feeling of safety to let go of this weight that is no longer serving us
✨stress and sleep: a critical piece in the modern world, we’re overworked, over stressed and don’t know how to fill our cups back up in a healthy manner. Managing stress is probably the single most important aspect of our health as it effects our entire body along with having adequate sleep and rest to allow the body to heal and recover
✨too much or too little movement: knowing what your body needs is important and this can change. In times of stress having restorative movement is really important to not further stress the body but also keep it moving. In times of less stress it’s important to have enough movement for overall health.

In the health space, it’s easy to get fixated on In the health space, it’s easy to get fixated on signs & symptoms and what’s “going wrong” with our health. It’s easy to get a “fix it all” mentality but the truth is there is never going to be 100% health, no issues. That’s just part of being human and the sooner we can accept that, the sooner we can truly heal and live a fulfilling life! 

What are the foundations?
- are we drinking enough clean, mineral rich water?
- are we getting adequate rest and sleep?
- do our lives revolve around screens 24/7?
- are we getting enough sunshine?
- are we out nature?
- do we acknowledge gratitude for all the good in our lives?
- are we spending time with people that support and lift us up?
- are we doing things that bring us joy?
- are we eating enough nutrient dense foods?
- are we minimizing exposing ourselves to negativity?
- are we minimizing toxic exposures?

Those are FREE basic supports we need to check in on when it comes to our overall health and wellness. Detoxing is fun and all but we really need to focus on these first and foremost!
